About Us
Turnaround Underground was founded in January 2010 to provide networking opportunities for midlevel restructuring professionals. Turnaround Underground provides a networking forum for midlevel restructuring professionals employed by law firms, investment banks and financial institutions, accounting and financial advisory firms and companies that provide vendor services, enabling them to meet their peers from other such organizations, to learn about professional opportunities, educate themselves on how their peers view pertinent issues in restructuring, share ideas, and build their professional and social networks.
Since its inception, Turnaround Underground has hosted an event nearly every month and reaches more than 800 professionals in the restructuring field. Turnaround Underground has been featured in articles from leading news sources including Reuters Financial and Time Out New York.
Our Attendance Policy
Turnaround Underground was formed specifically to establish networking opportunities for midlevel restructuring professionals. We have the highest regard for our more established colleagues, but as our goal is to promote an environment conducive to midlevel networking and relationship building, we ask that you assist us by following these general guidelines for attendance at our events:
- If you are a lawyer, you should be no more senior than a fourth-year partner.
- If you are a banker, your title should not be more senior than vice president.
- If you are a financial advisor, then you should not be more senior than a fourth-year managing director.
- If you are an accountant, you should be no more senior than a fourth-year senior manager.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a board member for more information. If you are too senior to attend our events, please send us your midlevel colleagues. And, if you are a midlevel restructuring professional, we look forward to seeing you at our events!
